Berry College summer program enrolling rising high school seniors

Berry College in Rome, Ga., is accepting applications for its summer program, Preparing Leaders for Ultimate Success. Application deadline is April 15.

The PLUS program is designed to instill the skills needed for success in college in rising high school seniors from diverse backgrounds. Forty students will be selected for the one-week program, scheduled to run June 23-29. Applicants must be nominated by their school's guidance counselors.

Participants will stay in Berry's residence halls and attend classes and workshops about career exploration, study skills and preparing for college. Students will attend cultural event programs on campus, conduct research on current topics and participate in a peer-review presentation.

The program fee of $275 includes meals, lodging, instruction and transportation/admission to educational trips. Applications may be downloaded from berry.edu.stulife/multicultural/plus.
