Tennessee cops cracking down on speeders the next two weekends

Law enforcement officers from across Tennessee will be out in force this weekend and next weekend as part of a “More Cops, More Stops” crackdown on drivers violating traffic safety laws, a news release states.

The campaign, which runs Friday through Monday both weekends, is aimed at cracking down on speeders, people who are driving while under the influence or distracted, and drivers not wearing seat belts.

It’s sponsored jointly by the Governor’s Highway Safety Office and participating enforcement agencies.
