The 19-year-old Hays State Prison inmate killed shortly after being transferred to a prison in Jackson was stabbed to death, authorities said today.
Georgia Bureau of Investigations spokesman John Bankhead said autopsy reports show that Pippa Hall-Jackson died from a stab wound to the chest. His death was ruled a homicide.
Sources inside Hays State Prison say Hall-Jackson had recently stepped off a bus at the Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Prison when another Hays inmate attacked him.
Hall-Jackson was the fourth Hays inmate to die at the hands of other inmates since Dec. 19.
He was serving time for aggravated assault.
