Lady Mocs beat Georgia Southern

STATESBORO, Ga. — The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women’s basketball team extended its winning streak to 13 games tonight with a 67-50 victory against Georgia Southern at Hanner Fieldhouse.

UTC (23-3, 16-1 SoCon) got 24 points and 13 rebounds from center Ashlen Dewart, who has three straight double-doubles.

The Lady Mocs closed the first half on a 10-0 run for a 34-24 lead at the break. In the second, after GSU (5-20, 4-12) cut the lead to 39-33 with 14:09 to play, UTC pulled away for good with a 9-0 spurt.
