New Image Laser Skin Center is expanding its services to the community when it comes to health and beauty.

Formerly known as New Image Laser Tattoo Removal, the business specialized in the removal of tattoos using laser technology.

It now has a new name to help market its new services of fractional CO2 laser skin resurfacing to the community. “Skin rejuvenation used to be very difficult and the skin actually had to be peeled off,” said the owner of New Image Laser Skin Center.

“Infection was a big risk, but this technology helps eliminate that.” Fractional CO2 uses a wavelength that penetrates deep into the skin, creating a new layer of skin. The natural aging process, combined with exposure to sun and pollutions, destroys collagen — the main protein of connective tissue that keeps skin plump and line-free. This procedure works to put the body’s natural collagen production into overdrive, restoring youthful looking skin and softening fine lines and wrinkles, reducing acne scaring, shrinking enlarged pores and much more.

New Image Laser Skin Center offers the procedure for $500 per facial treatment, which is very affordable compared to other providers that typically start around $2,000, according to the owner of New Image.

A typical recommended treatment takes one year with two visits at $500 each. A six-month waiting period is suggested between each treatment to allow proper healing and to see solid results. Patients feel tightening of the skin on the first day and begin to see benefits a few days after the treatment once it is no longer red and has finished peeling. Final results last for years with proper skin care and no overexposure to the sun.

“Most patients are happy after only one treatment, but we recommend two for them to see better results,” the owner said. For those concerned about pain and healing time, the owner assures that the procedure is less invasive, and because it uses a topical anesthetic numbing cream, most patients only notice a warm feeling during treatment and a mild sensation of sunburn for a few hours afterward.

An oral pain reliever is all that is necessary for the short 20- to 30-minute procedure.

Primarily done on the face and neck, fractional CO2 can also help with skin rejuvenation along the upper chest, arms and hands (for varying prices), giving the person a younger appearance overall.

The procedure benefits men and women of any age, the owner added.
