Two charged in DeKalb County, Ala., with drug offenses

Crossville, Ala., officers and DeKalb County sheriff’s deputies discovered drugs and paraphernalia during a recent traffic stop, according to a news release.

Marty R. Smith, 36, of Albertville, Ala., and Cathy Jean Perry, 46, of Dawson, were arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal possession of prescription drugs, the sheriff’s office release states.

Both suspects are in the DeKalb County Detention Center awaiting bonds.
