NASHVILLE — Tennessee lawmakers met jointly this morning and re-elected Secretary of State Tré Hargett, Comptroller Justin Wilson and Treasurer David Lillard to new terms.
None of the three Republicans was opposed and the vote was by acclamation.
Hargett was elected to a four-year term while Wilson and Lillard will serve for two years. Wilson and Lillard were elected to third terms.
Wilson, whose office oversees audits of state and local governmental entities and participates in the financial and administrative management and oversight of state government, had just five words for lawmakers.
“We have work to do.”
