Chargerettes knock off Meigs, 74-35

ENGLEWOOD, Tenn. — Class 2A fourth-ranked McMinn Central improved to 20-3 for the season with a 74-35 District 5-AA girls’ basketball victory over Meigs County today.

The Chargerettes used a huge second-quarter run to pull away. They were led by Elizabeth Masengil’s 28 points. Kelsey Young added 19.

The Lady Tigers (18-5) were led by Emileigh’s Swafford’s 10 points.
