Alabama boy, 4, found dead inside of parked car

MOBILE, Ala. — Police in Mobile say a 4-year-old boy has been found dead inside a car shortly after his family reported him missing.

Department spokesman Cpl. Christopher Levy tells AL.com (http://bit.ly/1dge4Jy ) preliminary evidence shows the boy’s death was likely heat-related and it’s too early to say whether charges will be filed.

Authorities say the unidentified boy was found in a car parked at a mobile home park on Tuesday afternoon. Details on whether the boy was left in the car or got into it himself were not immediately available.

Police say the boy’s body will be taken to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for an autopsy.
