Chattanooga Lookouts lose fifth in row, 7-4

The Chattanooga Lookouts lost their fifth consecutive game Thursday night, dropping a 7-4 decision to Jackson at AT&T Field.

J.T. Wise's double to left field in the first inning scored Joc Pederson and Rafael Ynoa for a 2-0 Chattanooga lead. The Lookouts were up 3-1 entering the fourth inning, and it looked as if touted starting pitcher Chris Reed would get that overdue first win at AT&T.

The Generals had other plans, opening the fourth with a Daniel Paolini walk, a Jack Marder triple to center, a Chris Taylor walk and a Gabriel Noriega single to right, which resulted in Reed getting pulled from the game. Jackson scored three runs in the fourth and two in the fifth, when John Hicks homered to left and Paolini tripled to left.

Chattanooga has lost 12 of 14 games and is 12-20 in the Southern League's second half.

Zach Lee (7-7, 3.33) is scheduled to start tonight's 7:15 game for the Lookouts, with Anthony Vazquez (1-0, 2.43) scheduled for the Generals.
