Lee University pitcher Myles Smith picked by Red Sox

The Boston Red Sox, with the 113th pick in the major league baseball draft, selected Lee University pitcher Myles Smith.

A junior, Smith is from Detroit and pitched at Lee this season after spending two years at Miami Dade Junior College.

Smith is the first player with Chattanooga area ties selected in the draft, which continues through Saturday.
