March 31 deadline for WTCI children's writing contest

March 31 is the deadline for children in grades K-3 to submit entries in the WTCI-PBS Kids Go Writers Contest.

The contest encourages children's creativity by asking them to submit original stories they have illustrated.

Local judges will select winners by age divisions, and WTCI will award prizes that include PBS Kids gift baskets and WTCI Kids Club memberships.

Last year, local winner Hannah Grace Hammontree won the national prize in the kindergarten category.
