Planned Parenthood speech saddening and other letters to the editors

Planned Parenthood speech saddening

It was with sadness that I heard the president's speech at the Planned Parenthood convention. In light of the atrocities and inhumane treatment of newborn babies noted in the Kermit Gosnell trial, is his presence at Planned Parenthood appropriate, since they are the No. 1 abortion providers in the U.S.?

I'm really grieved by my president's actions. And I'm concerned over the plight of the children to be born and the young women who will give new life to them.

The protection for the vulnerable and oppressed is what the U.S. has always prided itself on, even from the birth of America. But that is not the message perceived by America from our president's speech.

Is the president joining sides with providers like Gosnell who serve "Sunday baby" specials? These are the late-term pregnancies where Gosnell and his wife were the only staff present in the abortion clinic aborting the large babies.

If there is nothing he did wrong, why did he have to hide from his staff; why only abort the large babies on Sunday?

Let's join forces to protect women and our future generation because that's the real war on women!

Ooltewah has lost a devoted coach

Coach Norma Nelson has built quite a softball empire at Ooltewah High School in her 25-year career. But she recently was given the opportunity by Principal Mark Bean to resign or be fired so he could take the program "in another direction."

With over 600 wins, four state finals, three state championships, numerous players going on to play at the college level, and never having a losing season, Coach Nelson lived up to what she always expected of her players. She did not quit! So she was fired for no apparent reason other than she lacked the enthusiasm he expected.

Assistant Superintendent Dr. Robert Sharpe was correct when he said he could not micromanage every school in the county and that coaching decisions are left to the principals of each school. But Dr. Sharpe, you are responsible for hiring competent principals who do not practice good ol' boy politics in their schools.

This insanity is like someone firing Coach Pat Summit because she failed to smile enough. I hope and pray Coach Nelson receives an offer from a school that will appreciate her devotion and love of the sport. What a drastic loss for Ooltewah High.

How fortunate that there are legitimate abortion centers where women are not forced by religious thumpers and government restrictions to seek out such as Kermit Gosnell.

I hope one day another abortion center will open in Chattanooga to provide those safe procedures that is the right of all women to choose.

Meanwhile, those seeking abortions will be forced by government interference to either travel long distances or seek-out the shady people like Gosnell.

That means those good Christian thumpers, who daughters get pregnant at 13, will still find it necessary to have local doctors do a hush-hush "D&C" while denying others — not white, Christian, insured, and monied — to seek their abortions elsewhere.

Somehow Gosnell's actions means that Planned Parenthood should be punished, yet the NRA is not responsible for Lanza's actions.

Planned 'Slaughterhood' Speech!

We kneeled on the road and prayed. We placed hundreds of small crosses into the sod. We believed there were enough followers of Jesus Christ in Chattanooga/Hamilton County to bring down an abortion mill. Then, it happened. We watched the Chattanooga Women’s Clinic get bulldozed to the ground in 1993. The slaughter house abortionists were not to be welcomed in our city/county.

We leafleted the whole area with flyers. We warned about women dying with their aborted children. We purchased the abortion slaughterhouse clinic...then, then it happened. We watched the Chattanooga Women’s Clinic get bulldozed to the ground. I carried a cross on Lee Hwy. and pointed upward to He who gives Life, and, Life more abundantly. Jesus Christ of Nazareth. The Man from Galilee. King of Kings, and, Lord of Lords! Master, Saviour! YHWH is His Name. Thank You, Lord Jesus!

While you're up on your cross Orr, be sure and thank your little lord Jesus for all the deaths of starving, neglected, abused, diseased, cancer-ridden, and unwanted children. Isn't Jesus and his imaginary daddy just grand old loving tyrants?

All things dull and ugly, All creatures short and squat, All things rude and nasty, The Lord God made the lot. Each little snake that poisons, Each little wasp that stings, He made their brutish venom. He made their horrid wings.

All things sick and cancerous, All evil great and small, All things foul and dangerous, The Lord God made them all.

Each nasty little hornet, Each beastly little squid-- Who made the spikey urchin? Who made the sharks? He did!

All things scabbed and ulcerous, All pox both great and small, Putrid, foul and gangrenous, The Lord God made them all.

Amen.

Women should never give up the right to choose what happens to them. After all, it is their body and no one else's. Once the right to choose what happens to them is taken, will it ever be returned? Probably not.

Jesus loves the little children, All the children of the world. Just as long as they are white And the parents are religious right, Jesus loves the children of the world.

Jesus loves the little children, Loves to give them cancer too. Just to show that He's the boss He takes pleasure in their loss, Does He really love the children of the world?

Jesus fakes His love for children, All the children of the world. Loves to see His children sick Why should we worship such a prick, Jesus really hates the children of the world.

Look a little closer. Please just look again...a l-i-t-t-l-e closer. Reconsider the "Women's Decisions"!

The child is in the Mother's womb. So, the Mother thinks, "Humm, this child is a part of my body, ergo, i can murder him/her". Or, if the Mother does not think she has a child, or, developing child in Life-Process in her womb, then, she may think, "I choose to get rid of 'It'". Now, {look, and, look again---look a little closer}. If Mom decides to follow thru with this reasoning, or, lack thereof, then Mom may now decide, "Hmmm, I have some of my own Mom's blood, (and her Dad's genetics) in My body. I don't want this, and, since it is part of My body, then, I will Murder Myself and get rid of It". Well, Folks, 'NEWS FLASH'...Self Murder is against the law. It is a crime! Now, I know that one does not have to commit Self Murder to terminate a Life-Process [Abortion]. Yet, to carry through with that line of thinking, then, where does it stop? Maybe, since that Mother has a fully developed Child which has her blood, and, she does not desire some of her own [pro-choice] blood being there, then, Mother has the Right to Choose to Murder this Person which she allowed to complete the Life-Process from the time of conception? Hey, Miss/Mrs./MS __('your name goes on the line') (I know some news personalities call them Feminazis, but, i don't), or, Mr., etc. Please rethink your God/Goddess-Like thinking. It just may be that if something within that thinking does not change, then, you may find yourself in big trouble with the True God...The Lord God of Hosts, Jesus Christ of Nazareth, who said, "Thou Shalt Not Murder!" Exodus 20:13 King James Version (KJV)

You're reaching, Orr.

Your opinion of abortion, being male, doesn't carry much weight. Sorry.

Dayton, you're an obnoxious, snotty twerp.

Gosnell is the poster boy of how far down this country has gone since Roe v Wade.

Roe v Wade and the "Great Society", a one-two punch this country may never recover from.

sorry, zab, abortion did not begin with Roe. Gosnell committed crimes. The country has actually improved on many fronts in the last few decades, at least if you are minority, gay or female.

Gosnell is the result of Christian theology where an individual's body is commanded by imaginary deities to obey the delusions of religious nutters.

Same could be said of Al Capone and Lucky Luciano. Prohibition by religious interference always gives rise to suppliers.

Those who prohibit and outlaw abortions should look in the mirror and see Gosnell, the proof of their pudding.
