Kevin Rose promoted at Henderson Hutcherson & McCullough
Henderson Hutcherson & McCullough has promoted Kevin S. Rose to member in the firm.
Rose joined HHM as a senior tax manager in 2012. He brings more than a decade of experience in tax planning, consulting and compliance.
As both a CPA and Certified Financial Planner, he employs a more comprehensive, solutions-based approach.
"We were excited to recruit Kevin from Atlanta," said George Wilmoth, partner in charge of tax at HHM. "He has been a welcome addition to our rapidly expanding tax practice, and we are happy for his swift advancement to partner."
Rose previously served as lead senior tax manager for closely-held businesses at an Atlanta firm. He has published several tax-related articles and is a frequent presenter at industry-specific meetings.
Swafford is NAHB Remodeler of Year
NAHB Remodelers, the remodeling arm of the National Association of Home Builders, has named Tim Swafford of Swafford Construction in Chattanooga as the 2013 Remodeler of the Year.
The announcement was made at the NAHB Remodelers' gala on Oct. 17 during the Remodeling Show in Chicago.
"Tim Swafford's superior professionalism is evident in the high regard in which he is held by his clients and peers," said NAHB Remodelers Chairman Bill Shaw, a remodeler from Houston. "I'm pleased to present this award to a remodeler who is a leader in customer service, craftsmanship and in all levels of our association."
Swafford has been in business with Swafford Construction since 1985.
Flenniken earns valuation credential
Valuation expert Travis Flenniken with Henderson Hutcherson & McCullough has successfully completed the certification process with the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts to earn the Certified Valuation Analyst credential.
The CVA credential is granted only to qualified individuals with considerable professional experience in the field of business valuation.
"The CVA designation is an indication to the business, professional and legal communities that recipients have met NACVA's rigorous standards of professionalism, expertise, objectivity and integrity in the field of business valuation, financial consulting and related consulting disciplines," said Parnell Black, chief executive of NACVA.
Waterhouse chooses Cable as specialist
Waterhouse Public Relations has added Lauren Cable as a digital research specialist whose primary focus at will be developing new opportunities to increase current and potential clients' business and brand awareness throughout the digital space.
She brings experience in e-commerce, digital public relations and marketing, account service, social media and online reputation management.
Prior to joining Waterhouse PR, Cable worked within various industries, including retail, health care, education, financial services and politics.
Cable earned a bachelor of arts in communication with an emphasis in public relations from the Lee University.
Funderburk opens The Retina Center
Dr. Randall Funderburk has officially opened The Retina Center as his new ophthalmology practice in Chattanooga.
Located on the second floor of the Jarnigan Medical Center at 7268 Jarnigan Road, The Retina Center is a newly renovated, state-of-the-art facility designed specifically for the evaluation and treatment of patients with retinal diseases and disorders.
In addition to opening The Retina Center, Funderburk also announced he has formed a new partnership with SouthEast Eye Specialists where he will be the new retinal-vitreous specialist who will diagnose and treat retinal and vitreous disorders of the eye. He has nearly 30 years of experience.
Miller hired at Claris Networks
Shawn Miller has been hired as a system administrator technician I at Claris Networks' Chattanooga location.
He previously Shawn worked for Terradine.
Claris is a leading cloud computing, managed services, offsite backup, hosting solutions and information technology support provider in Knoxville, Chattanooga and Nashville.
Presley picked at Vision Hospitality
Vision Hospitality Group Inc. has chosen Greg Presley as the company's new corporate director of sales and marketing. Presley will oversee all sales teams and initiatives for the company's growing hotel portfolio.
