Chattanooga police placed 22-year veteran Sgt. Kevin Kincer on administrative leave Wednesday after he was indicted Monday on three counts official misconduct and three counts of theft of property.

Kincer turned himself in to the Hamilton County Jail on Wednesday. He has been released $2,500 bond.

He has bee on placed on unpaid administrative leave by the department.

Kincer was placed on administrative leave in December after case evidence, including drugs, was reported missing by another employee.

Kincer, who worked in the department’s property and evidence room, is accused of taking the drugs. The case was turned over to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and recently presented a Hamilton County grand jury.
