Blevins named marketing manager

Cloud Richmond Marketing has named Kelly Blevins as marketing manager, responsible for implementing and maintaining social media, mobile marketing and other web-based marketing tactics.

"Kelly has been an outstanding intern, and we are thrilled to have her on our team," said Agnes Richmond, president. "She is very knowledgeable in social media and will be an asset to our clients."

A recent graduate of Dalton State College, Blevins was awarded the Outstanding Student in Marketing Award and was president of the student advisory council for the school of business.


Ross promoted to VP at PlayCore

Matt Ross has been promoted to vice president of sales within PlayCore's recreation brands group. Ross has been with PlayCore since April 2004 and has served in multiple roles in the sales and marketing departments, including his most recent role as director of sales. In this role in the Chattanooga office, he will manage the sales force for both Play & Park Structures and BigToys.

Alpers, Keel join Academic Urologists

Erlanger Health System has added physicians Joshua Alpers to the UT Erlanger Neurology Group and Christopher Keel to Academic Urologists at Erlanger.

Dr. Alpers is board-certified in neurology, neuromuscular medicine, and electrodiagnostic medicine. Though his interest extends to all aspects of neuromuscular medicine, he has specific interests in chemodenervation for various movement disorders and in disorders of the neuromuscular junction and peripheral nerve hyperexcitability. After earning a medical degree from the University of Missouri at Columbia, he was commissioned as an officer in the United States Air Force.

Dr. Keel, DO, urologic surgeon, is the newest addition to the growing physician practice of Academic Urologists. He has specific interests and extensive experience in robotic and minimally invasive urologic oncology, urologic reconstruction and endourology. A native of Chattanooga, Keel earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. He completed an internship in general surgery at Tulane University Medical Center and the Spirit of Charity Trauma Center in New Orleans, La. There, Keel was the recipient of several awards recognizing his achievements in researching the impact of surgery on the kidney.

Locke joins HHM firm

Dana Locke has joined Henderson Hutcherson & McCullough, PLLC, as an accountant for its dealership services group, where she will apply over 30 years of automotive industry experience.

"Dana brings a deep level of expertise and understanding within the dealership industry," said Travis Horton, CPA, MBA and partner in charge of Dealership Services. "She hit the ground running and is already a valuable asset to our team of dealership CPA's and the clients we serve."

Prior to joining HHM, Locke was a corporate controller for several mid-sized automotive groups across the Southeast. She has held several key positions within auto dealerships including controller and finance manager.


HHM, Southside Creative win awards

Henderson Hutcherson & McCullough and Southside Creative Group were awarded for marketing accomplishment by the Association for Accounting Marketing at the AAM-MAA's gala that took place during the 2014 summit in Austin, Texas, in May. The team accepted the award in the Firm Publication category.

Winning entries were recognized for the accomplishment of a specific goal or objective, demonstration of approaching a project strategically, creative execution and measurable results.

"These awards are meaningful to us because they are based on the creative and the results," stated Ronelle Sellers, director of marketing for HHM.


Sherwood added at Memorial Ooltewah

Memorial Health Partners Foundation has added Dr. Allen Thompson Sherwood as a new physician at Memorial Family Medicine in Ooltewah. Dr. Sherwood is board certified in family medicine. He earned his medical degree at University of Tennessee Center for the Health Sciences, Memphis, and completed an internship in general surgery at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, N.J. Sherwood completed his residency at University of Tennessee College of Medicine, Chattanooga, where he specialized in family medicine.

"We are very excited to have Dr. Sherwood join our team," said Dr. Nicholas G. Economides, vice president and physician executive of Mountain Management Services. "He is an advocate of the spiritual considerations important in patient care."


Siskin's Jenkins gains certification

Darlene Jenkins is now a certified employment support professional (CESP) at Siskin Hospital.

Jenkins has over 30 years of experience in employment and training with the economically disadvantaged and disabled populations, with 17 years of service at Siskin Hospital. Jenkins currently works in the vocational services department, where she specializes in serving clients who participate in the community re-entry services and the pre-vocational skills training programs. These programs provide treatment that leads to paid employment and independent living skills for clients with a brain injury or other neurological impairments who are ready to enter the competitive workforce and the community. Additionally, Jenkins works in the supported employment program and provides vocational evaluations at Siskin Hospital.

Jenkins has a bachelor's in education and is a certified lift-test evaluator. She serves on the POSitively Caring Committee and works with the driving evaluation program and the TDOT Yellow Dot program. She was recently named a board member for the Chattanooga Area Brain Injury Association.

Dummer named a top instructor

The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) named Randy Dummer, a CPA for Henderson Hutcherson & McCullough, an outstanding instructor for the sixth year in a row. He is featured in the Journal of Accountancy as a 'Top 20 Instructor.'

Dummer was chosen from over 200 instructors, having earned one of the highest average evaluation ratings while teaching a minimum of 10 sessions. He teaches seminars across the country to other CPAs on accounting and audit topics, including courses on employee benefit plan audits, accounting and audit updates, compilations and reviews and services to automobile dealerships. Dummer earned his degree from the University of Wisconsin at LaCrosse, graduating with highest honors.

Stelzman named to 40 under 40 list

The National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA) and the Consultants' Training Institute (CTI) named Matt Stelzman, CVA, MAFF, to their inaugural '40 under 40' list of professionals for his accomplishments in the profession and his community. He serves as a business valuation, litigation support and financial forensics expert at Henderson, Hutcherson & McCullough, PLLC.

"Matt is a great asset to our Forensics, Litigation and Valuation team at HHM," says Randall Hebert, partner at HHM. "We are extremely proud of his latest accomplishments."

Stelzman was also named as a member of the NACVA litigation forensics board. The board has the responsibility of evaluating the content of NACVA's litigation and forensics-related curriculum to provide assurance that course content remains objective. The board also oversees credentialing criteria for NAVCA's master analyst in financial forensics (MAFF) designation.

Stelzman is a certified valuation analyst and master analyst of financial forensics with experience in business valuation, litigation support and forensics. He has performed valuations for companies across a multitude of industries. His experience in litigation work includes personal injury, economic damages, lost profits, wrongful death and marital dissolution. Stelzman obtained his MBA in finance from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.


Rhoads wins industry award

Trent Rhoads, an agent of AmeriLife & Health Services of Chattanooga, LLC, was recently recognized for outstanding sales in the months of December 2013 through May 2014 with the Platinum Award. Rhoads wrote $142,544 in new business annualized insurance premiums, leapfrogging the $20,000 minimum needed for recognition at the company's super steak and beans awards dinner.


Painter Ready grows again

Daniel Weathers has joined Painter Ready and will be responsible for commercial sales in the Chattanooga and Knoxville markets.

Weathers brings over 12-years sales and management experience to Painter Ready and will be responsible for calling on property owners, property managers, maintenance managers and developers to build new residential business in Knoxville.

"Daniel brings the perfect combination of experience and energy we need as we grow our business here in Chattanooga and move into the Knoxville market," said Ken Morris, owner of Paint Ready.
