The Meigs County Sheriff's Office confirms a man accidentally shot and killed himself while driving his car Wednesday afternoon.
They say James "Tony" McKenzie had a carry permit and his family says he always kept a gun on him.
He was driving north on Highway 58 around 3:30 p.m. when somehow the gun went off shooting him in the upper leg.
