ASHEVILLE, N.C. — The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's basketball team won its 15th Southern Conference championship in school history with an 71-45 win over Davidson in the U.S. Cellular Center.
Senior guard Alex Black led all players with 22 points. Taylor Hall scored 10 points and Faith Dupree added 10.
The Mocs were without the services of All-SoCon post player Ashlen Dewart who injured her left calf in the first half. UTC led 35-22 at the break.
UTC will learn its NCAA tournament opponent, as well as the date and location of the game, next Monday during the selection show.
