Mud Run benefits Habitat for Humanity

• What: More than 2,500 participants and spectators turned out at Greenway Farms recently for the annual Mud Run to benefit Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga. Runners got down and dirty crawling through tunnels, racing through mud pits and climbing walls on the slippery obstacle course.


Museum Center gala catches Friday Night Fever

• What: Friday Night Fever, a 1970s-themed dinner-dance featuring entertainment by The Village People, was held at the Museum Center at Five Points in Cleveland, Tenn. Guests put on their platform shoes and polyester suits, paisley-print sheaths and white patent go-go boots to dance to "Macho Man" and "Y.M.C.A." and bid in the gala's live and silent auctions.

• Benefits: The museum's operational budget.

• Honorees: The annual fundraiser honored Allan and Janie Jones for their contributions to the museum center and to the Cleveland community.
