A black male was shot Monday night around 8:25 p.m. at 2506 Bailey Ave., according to a news release from the Chattanooga Police Department.
Chattanooga police arrived at the scene and found the victim suffering from a nonlife-threatening gunshot wound. The victim was transported by EMS to a local hospital.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information regarding this crime is asked to call 423-698-2525.
