The city-owned utility announced today that it has added Wi-Fi to the downtown park at 850 Market Street, which is owned by River City Co. Miller Plaza is home to a variety of public events throughout the year, including the Nightfall Concert Series and available for private rental.

"EPB Fiber Optics is proud to provide Miller Plaza and the Waterhouse Pavilion with complementary on-site WiFi Internet," EPB spokesman John Pless said in a statement today. Whether you're Tweeting, posting or just checking Facebook, you'll enjoy having access to the most bandwidth available in a wireless environment. "

With the plaza open daily until dusk and the Waterhouse Pavilion from 8:30am to 3:30pm, Pless said persons can work, play or enjoy the park while reveling in EPB's gigabit-per-second Internet speeds.

"We're known as the Gig City, and we wanted to showcase that trademark in the heart of City Center where innovation and big ideas are forming every day," said Amy Donahue, marketing and communications manager for River City Co.
