Former jail administrator pleads guilty to harassment

Former DeKalb County, Ala., chief jail administrator Mitch Dendy pleaded guilty Tuesday on charges of harassment, receiving a sentence of 90 days in jail.

Dendy pleaded guilty to one count for each of his three victims and was issued a $100 fine on each count, plus court costs.

The sentences are to run consecutively, but were suspended for 24 months, according to Sheriff Jimmy Harris.

The victims say they are all satisfied with the results of the plea agreement.
