Staff at Marco's Pizza in Maryville didn't know at first the huge pizza order was for a diverted plane at McGhee Tyson Airport.
"We got this really big web delivery for the pizzas," said Jonathan Jenkins, a manager at Marco's.
The plane left 2 p.m. Tuesday from Philadelphia, according to CNN.com, but torrential rains in Atlanta forced the plane down in Knoxville. While passengers waited, the crew ordered them pizza -- 55 of them.
