Visitors from all over the world have come to see the Children's Holocaust Memorial (better known as the Paper Clips Project), a monument for Holocaust survivors created by Whitwell (Tenn.) Middle School students.

One particular business in the Tennessee Valley has taken a strong interest in what these young people have done. Hats off to Ann Smith and employees at Citizens Tri-County Bank in Dunlap, Tenn., for funding the printing of 10,000 brochures for memorial visitors. This bank has made it part of its giving mission to support young people and their creative endeavors.

If you have a chance, visit Whitwell and see for yourself how a tragic event in history has turned into a learning experience about tolerance and acceptance.
