CLEVELAND, Tenn. - Third-ranked Lee University edged No. 2 Lindsey Wilson 3-2 in overtme in NAIA women's soccer Thursday night. Lee's Lady Flames, who have won the last four national championships, took a 2-0 lead on Leah Fortune scores at 39:17 and 55:49 but needed Marie Eliassen's goal off a turnover at 94:04 to beat the Eagles. Laerke Lillelund Michaelsen assisted on a Natasha Gensetter goal soon after Fortune's second goal and scored from a double assist at 71:09. Leah Wilson and her Lindsey Wilson counterpart each made two saves as the hosts had a 13-11 edge in shots but 11-1 dominance in corner kicks.
• MOUNT BERRY, Ga. -- Christian Fulbright's goal 1:24 into the second overtime period gave Berry College a 1-0 NCAA Division III men's soccer victory Thursday night against Covenant College. Zak Wallingford assisted on the goal for Berry (5-0), which outshot its visitors 25-9. Shuler Polk made 11 saves for Covenant (1-4).
Auto Racing
• Cleveland Speedway will host its annual Grant Adcox Memorial race Saturday night as part of the Southern All Stars' season series. The 40-lap event will pay $3,500 to the winner. Adcox was a Chattanoogan, the son of longtime automobile dealer Herb Adcox, who reached the top level of NASCAR racing before dying from injuries in a crash at Atlanta Motor Speedway in November 1989. Vic Hill won the Adcox Memorial last year after Ooltewah's Riley Hickman won in 2010. Jimmy Owens of Newport, Skip Arp of Georgetown and Billy Ogle Jr. of Knoxville have won SAS races at Cleveland this year, and Crossville's Randy Weaver is the series points leader. Saturday will include racing in all of the track's regular divisions. Pit gates will open at 3 p.m.; the grandstands open at 4.

• The local Alabama Alumni and Friends chapter has set up a bus trip to the Crimson Tide's Sept. 22 home football game against Florida Atlantic.
