Sara Duncan

Sara F. Duncan, 72, of Chattanooga, passed away on Monday, Dec. 9, 2013. She was born to the late Eva and Fred Nelson, March 10, in DeKalb, Ala. Sara was married to the late Frank Stewart and had four loving children. She was also preceded in death by late husbands, Jack Rehring and Bill Yinger; brother, Herman Nelson and aunt, Jewel Hall. Sara worked at Dixie Yarns for over 25 years before finding her passion in career of being a certified nursing assistant. She loved and cared for many elderly in the years of being a CNA. Sara is survived by four children, Robin, Joe, Todd and Bryan Stewart; several grandchildren and a great-grandchild; her best friend and sister, Chris Murphy, sisters, Faye (Tommy) Hindman, Frieda Cooke and Carolyn (Johnny) Gill; and several nieces and nephews. Sara had enduring love that extended to all those in her presence. She had an elegance of beauty that radiated her deep passionate love. Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Sterling Jetton officiating. Entombment will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. A special thanks to Hospice of Chattanooga for their wonderful care during her battle with cancer.
