Charlie Blaylock

ROSSVILLE Charles "Charlie" Blaylock, 87, peacefully passed from this life to his heavenly home with Jesus early Friday morning, Jan. 25, 2013, surrounded by his loving family.Charlie was born Nov. 29, 1925, in Chattanooga. He had lived most of his life in the North Georgia area.He was preceded in death by his father, Edwin D. Blaylock, mother, Lillian R. Blaylock; and a brother, William Clark Blaylock.Survivors are his loving wife of almost 70 years, Mary Durham Blaylock; son, Gary (Charmian) Blaylock, Chickamauga; daughters, Gail (Cloyd) Bell, Sale Creek, Tenn., Brenda Linderman, Rossville, and Lynn (Stuart) Shankles, Rossville; six grandsons and one granddaughter, Paul (Shantel) Blaylock, Chickamauga, Ga. David (Stacey) Blaylock, Chickamauga, Tim (Yolanda) Bell, Bakewell, Tenn., Becky (Marty) Shadoan, Somerset, Kentucky, Mike (Michelle) Linderman, Graysville, Tenn., Chris (Christina) Linderman, Rossville, and Darrell (Tiffney) Shankles, Chickamauga; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild on the way.Funeral services will be held 3:30 p.m. today in the funeral home chapel with Rev.
