Clyde Tackett

Clyde F. Tackett, 73, of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2011, at a local hospital.He was born May 17, 1937 in Cartersville, Ga., to the late Cleveland and Jeanette Cothran Tackett. Mr. Tackett was a Master Mechanic having worked for Pye Nissan for several years; and was a United States Air Force Veteran for 12 years serving in Vietnam.He was preceded in death by his brother, Harold Tackett.Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Peggy Tackett; four daughters; two sons; two sisters; one brother; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.Condolences may be sent to www.lane-southcrestchapel.com.Graveside services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Full Military Honors provided by VVA 203.The family will receive friends Sunday from 4-8 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, Rossville.
