James Lusk

KNOXVILLE James Tillery Lusk, 84, passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2011, at Mercy West Hospital after a brief illness.He was the son of Von Beecher and Grace Tillery Lusk. He was of the Baptist faith and was a U.S. Navy veteran.He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Patterson Martin Lusk.He was a Knoxville native and graduated from Central High School and the University of Tennessee. He was in sales at American Lava and Graco in Chattanooga. He returned to Knoxville to be an active volunteer with CASA, Senior Citizens Awareness Network with the Knoxville Sheriffs Office, and at Baptist and St. Marys Hospitals.He is survived by his three children, Stephen J. Lusk, Martin B. Lusk, and Martha L. Hufstetler; their spouses; three grandchildren, Matthew J. Lusk, Holly E. Lusk and Ryan J. Lusk; his brother, Maurice K. Lusk and wife, Sarah Lusk, of Dalton, Ga.; nieces and nephews.Services to be held at First Baptist Church of Chattanooga on Saturday, April 30, in the McEwen Chapel; visitation in the Parlor commencing at 2:30 p.m. with the service immediately following at 3:30 p.m.In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Mercy West Auxiliary, c/o Mercy West Medical Center, 10820 Parkside Drive, Knoxville, TN 37934.
