Paul Julius Helmholtz Sr., 68, of Hixson, died Thursday, April 28, 2011, in a local hospital.He was preceded in death by his parents; brother; granddaughter and grandparents.Survivors include his children: Julie Bowman, Keith Helmholtz, Kevin Helmholtz, Paul Helmholtz Jr., Liz Morgan, Jeannie Keesler and John Paul Smith; siblings: Jerry Schoncheck, Bobby Helmholtz and Jimmy Helmholtz; 20 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.A gathering of family and friends will be 2-6 p.m. Saturday, May 14, 2011, at 5217 Donlyn Lane, Hixson, TN.Arrangements by Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace.
