Charles Floyd "Chuck" Willis, 72, of Chattanooga, died Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011, in a local hospital.A lifelong resident of Ringgold and Chattanooga, Chuck was retired from Local #43. He was a 1960 graduate of Ringgold High School where he was in the band and the football team.He was a member of Westview Baptist Church.He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Celia Willis.Survivors are his wife, Gail Willis; daughters, Kim Whitworth, Ringgold, Tammy Williams, Chattanooga and Vickie Samples, Chickamauga, Ga.; son, David Brown, Dallas, Ga.; nine grandchildren, Amanda, Abbie, Kraig, Kevin, Katie, Kody, Kassie, Heather and Zack; four great-children, Chamblee, Charlee, Abraham and Cameron; mother-in-law, Violet Gardner; and brotherin-law, Mike Gardner, both of Cohutta, Ga.Services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Westview Baptist Church with Rev. Sterling Jetton officiating.
