Evelyn OBrienEvelyn Louise OBrien, 87, of Hixson, formerly of Nashville, passed away on Monday, Aug. 29, 2011.She was a member of Inglewood Baptist Church and retired from Genesco after many years of service.She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard OBrien; parents, Clarence and Ruby Summers; and brother, Jimmie Summers.Survivors include her daughter, Cheryl (Ron) Rowlett, of Hixson; grandchildren, Chris Rowlett, Tim and Lauren Rowlett, and Jennifer Rowlett; great-grandchildren, Carter, Reese and Landen Rowlett; and niece, Jacqueline Hollingsworth.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. EDT on Thursday Sept. 1, 2011, in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Ron Phillips officiating.Interment will be at 2 p.m. CDT in Woodlawn Cemetery in Nashville.The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.Share your memories, stories and photos at www.legacyfuneralhome.com.Arrangements are by Legacy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Soddy-Daisy, TN 37379.
