LaFAYETTE James Wesley Webb, 94, died Monday, Aug. 29, 2011.J.W. was preceded in death by his parents, James Alfred and Willie Leming Webb; sisters, Jewel Montgomery, Kathlene Hutto; brothers, Voy Webb, Ollie Webb, Walter Thomas.He was a Army veteran of World War II, 55-year member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 1579, also worked for T.V.A. and a member of Young Farmers.Survived by his wife, Betty Templeton Webb, LaFayette; daughters, Beverly (Charles) Ragstale, Hamilton, Ga., Teresa Richard, Rossville, Keila (Butch) Beaird, LaFayette; sons, Tim (Vivian) Webb, Terry (Ann) Webb; sister, Mattie Caheely; brother, Jim Webb; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday in LaFayette Cemetery. Service conducted by Dr. Todd Gaddis, Rev. Ricky Studdard, the Rev. Randy Bryant.Pallbearers are Kelly Webb, Lee Robertson, Travis Bailey, Jeff Webb, Dobra Caheely.Interment in LaFayette Cemetery.The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. today.The arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home of LaFayette.
