Kenny Byess

Kenny Byess, 42, a resident of Chattanooga, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2011, in a local hospital.Kenny an avid NASCAR and Georgia football fan, but will be most remembered for his kind and gentle spirit.Kenny is preceded in death by his father, Gus Byess; one brother, David Byess; and his pet, Sarge.Survivors include his mother, Barbara Byess, of Chattanooga, fiance, Ashley Arnett; and her parents, Mike and Carol Arnett, also of Chattanooga; one brother, Vince Byess, of Chattanooga; one sister, Julie Hanson, of Rossville; and a special aunt, Cheryl Enlow, of Tellico Plains, Tenn. Kenny also leaves behind a large and loving extended family of several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, and his loving dog Harley.Funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, at Collegedale Community Church located at 4995 Swinyar Drive in Collegedale with Pastor Jerry Arnold officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 5 until 7 p.m. prior to the service.The family request in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Lung Association.Companion Funeral & Cremation Service has charge of the arrangements.
