Anna Moore

Anna Lou Rogers Mason Moore, 89, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011. Mrs. Moore was born Mar. 15, 1921, in McMinn County, Tenn., daughter of the late Luther P. and Rena Benton Rogers. She was a resident of the Middle Valley area since 1946.Mrs. Moore was a member of Lupton Drive Baptist Church and the Amazing Grace Sunday School Class, where she was secretary for 30 years. She was a lifetime member of Hamilton County P.T.A., an eleven year volunteer at Memorial North Park Hospital. She was a member and Past President of Hamilton County Food Service, past Worthy Matron of Daisy Eastern Star #328 and Grand Representative for the State of Missouri.She was retired from Ganns Middle Valley School cafeteria as Manager for 24 years. Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her husband, K.C. Moore, six brothers and eight sisters. She is survived by her twin sister, Nell McKheen, of Athens, Tenn.; sons, Robert "Bobby" (Kathy) Mason, of Hixson, William "Leroy" Mason, of Cleveland; grandchildren, Robby (Jennifer) Mason, of Hixson, Lori Bradshaw and fiance (Davy Rose), of Ringgold, Ga., Chris (Terry) Mason, of Dayton, Tenn.; six great-grandchildren, four step children, Jerry (Billie) Moore, of Ringgold, Ga., Nancy Giddens, of Trenton, Ga., K.C. (Mike) Moore Jr., of Chattanooga, Mary Ann Gardner, of Trenton, Ga.; seven step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; lots of friends and neighbors.The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff and management of Red Bank Life Care Center for their kindness and care of Mrs. Moore.Services will be held 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. Randy Bell and the Rev. Roger Dehart officiating. Members of the Amazing Grace Sunday School Class will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 4 until 8 P.M. today at the funeral home.
