Laura Leffew

Laura E. Leffew, 68, of Soddy-Daisy, slipped from this world into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011. She was surrounded by her family and friends that loved her very deeply. She was employed at several area Bi-Lo stores as a cake decorator for the past ten years. She was loved by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Jasper "Jack" and Helen Chauncey Bledsoe; her foster parents, Gene and Laverta Bledoe; sister, Katherine Swaggerty and brothers, Willard and Wayne Bledsoe. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Felix; two sons, Terry and Joey Leffew; stepdaughter, Kim (Aaron) Powers; sisters, Wilma (Billy) Fowler and Floyce (Larry) Smith; brothers, Charles (Jeanette), Maurice, Floyd (Ann), David (Thelma) and Billy Jack (Charlsie); grandchildren, David, Loren, Hailey, Katelyn and Dylan Leffew and Terra Pike; great-grandchildren, Kristofer and Addison Gray, and Brandon Buffington; foster sister, Joyce Barrow; foster brother, Robert Bledsoe and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Harold Swaggerty officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton County Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from noon until 9 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Legacy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Soddy-Daisy.
