Barbara Sue James, 74, a lifelong resident of Sale Creek, died Monday, July 23, 2012, at her home.She attended Sale Creek Church of God.She was preceded in husband, Charles James; parents, George and Lucille Townsend.Survivors include four children, Sherry (Rusty) Wilkey, Chuck (Mary) James and Galen (Cheryl) James, all of Sale Creek, and Janet (Ricky) Montgomery, of Dayton, Tenn.; two sisters, Linda Brooks, LaFayette, Ga., Judy Walker, Chattanooga; three brothers, Tony Townsend, of Soddy-Daisy, and Dusty and Buddy Townsend, both of LaFayette; several nieces and nephews.In lieu of flowers, send donations to St. Jude Childrens Hospital.Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Rhea Memory Gardens with the Rev.
