Ida Stoner

ROSSVILLE Ida Stoner, 91, passed away Saturday, July 21, 2012, at a local health care facility.Mrs. Stoner was a native of Whitwell, Tenn., and had lived the past 29 years in the north Georgia area. Mrs. Stoner was associated with the Rossville Church of Christ. Her passion in life was her family, and she loved children dearly.She was preceded in death by her husband, James Stoner; children, John Stoner, Tina McDaniel and James Polk . "Schwin" Stoner Jr.; and two brothers, Robert and Lewis Herron.Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Mike Adams, of Maumelle, Ark.; two grandchildren, Travis Stoner, of Dunlap, Tenn., and Jason (Natasha) Stoner, of Norfolk, Va.; three great-grandchildren, Nathan, Jaiden and Grace Stoner; and several nieces and nephews.Condolences may be sent to www.lane-southcrestchapel.com.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga at 4411 Oakwood Dr., Chattanooga, TN 37416.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the South Crest Chapel with Rev. Jim Bennett officiating.Interment will follow in Pea Ridge Cemetery in Henegar, Ala.The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of Historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
