Maxine Gang

ROSSVILLE Maxine Gang 79, died Monday, July 23, 2012, in a local health care facility.She devoted the majority of her life as a wife, mother, grandmother and servant for the Lord. Mrs. Gang was a native of Dekalb County, Ala., a daughter of Tasker and Queen Victoria Thompson Vaughn.Maxine was a member of Temple Baptist Church and retired from Standard-Coosa Thatcher and was a well-known area Avon sales representative for more than 23 years.Mrs. Gang was preceded in death by two husbands, Lloyd Debter and Clell Yates; two brothers, Ranell Vaughn and John W. Vaughn; three sisters, Hester Meadows, Ida Nell Bandy and Hazel Westmoreland; a son, Dennis Richard Yates; a daughter, Glenda Yates Owensby.Survivors include her loving husband, M. Damon Gang; daughter, Brenda Nix Smith, Fort Oglethorpe; son-in-law, Michael Owensby, Marietta, Ga.; granddaughter, Kimberly Owensby Kelsey, Dallas, Ga.; grandson, Cody C. Smith, Rocky Face, Ga.Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Roger Kittle and Rev.
