Jr.William Davis Jr., 72 of Harrison, passed away Friday, July 20, 2012, at his residence.He was a member of Faith Baptist Church and was owner of Davis Asphalt Co. for over 30 years. He was an avid dirt track race car driver and he loved his 1950 Ford and often would take it to area antique car shows, he will be sadly missed both those who loved and knew him.Surviving relatives; wife of 23 years, Norma Davis; son, Johnny Davis, of Minnesota; stepson, Michael (Karen) Schmitt, of Georgia; daughters, Debbie (Gary) Talley, of East Ridge; stepdaughter, Deborah Morgan, of Harrison; brother, Raymond Davis, of Georgetown, Tenn.; sisters, Shirley McCulley, of Guild, Tenn., Annie Kintz of Georgia, Darlene Albertson, of Georgia, Brenda Cline, of Georgia, Mary Cathrine Volk, of New York; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday July 25, 2012 at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tracy Daniels, officiating.The interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.Visit www.heritagefh.com to share words of comfort to the family and view the memorial tribute.The family will receive friends 4-8 p.m. today and noon until 1 p.m. Wednesday at Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 East Brainerd Road.
