POWDER SPRINGS Deborah Lynne Hicks Harvey, 56, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013.She had lived her childhood in Chickamauga, Ga., where she graduated from Gordon Lee High School Class of 1974. She attended University of the South, Jacksonville State University, and UCLA at Irvine. She was a social worker for the state of Georgia for 19 years. She was very active in the leadership role in The Boy Scouts of America, Flint River Council of Georgia.She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Burt Harvey: their children, Ben and his wife, Erin Harvey, of Marietta, Ga.; son, Kyle Harvey, of McDonough, Ga.; and grandson, Bennett Matthew Harvey; her parents, Junior and Betty Hicks, of Chattanooga; her sister, Cindy Belew, of Cincinnati, Ohio; several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until noon Friday at the funeral home.Memorial services will be follow at noon in the chapel with Rev.
