Sybil Smith

Sybil Mae Smith, 88, of Chattanooga, passed Tuesday, April 23, 2013. A lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area, she was the daughter of the late Rubin and Ruby Smith. She was retired from DuPont with 32 years of service and was of the Baptist faith. She was a Red Cross volunteer and started the Red Cross volunteers program at North Park Hospital. Sybil loved music, arranging flowers, traveling and family get togethers.Survivors are her cousins, Sybil Patterson, Kenneth Combs, James Campbell, Harry Austin and Ed Austin; and many other cousins.Please share your memories at ChattanoogaNorthChapel.com.Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends from 1 til 2 p.m. before the service on Friday at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 5401 Highway 153.
