William Morgan

William "Bill" Poorman Morgan, 78, of Chattanooga, passed away Sunday, April 28, 2013.He was a faithful member of White Oak United Methodist Church for 50 years and served as head usher and worked on several other committees. He was employed for 32 years at TVA as an engineering associate in the Civil Engineering and Design Department, retiring in 1995. He was active in Free Masonry and he was a member and past master of the Chattanooga Masonic Lodge 199 F&AM. He was a 32nd-degree Mason and a member of the Scottish Rite.He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy Poorman Morgan and Francis Tyler Morgan.Survivors include his wife, Joyce Marler Morgan; son, William Tyler Morgan; daughter, Angela Morgan; granddaughter, Laura Morgan; brothers, James Morgan, Francis Tyler Morgan and Robin Morgan; sister, Gill Morgan; aunts, Billie Neil and Carmel Wallace.Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace with Brother Dwight Martin and the Rev.
