Rev. Henry PrestonRev. C. Henry Preston, 100, of Chattanooga, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Jan. 28, 2013.He was born in Dublin, Texas to Charles and Stacey Preston.He was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Katherine F. Preston; one brother; and six sisters.Brother Henry has been in the ministry for over 75 years. He was a graduate of Carson Newman College and Los Angeles Baptist Theological Seminary. He was the pastor of churches in Virginia, Kentucky and Tennessee. Brother Preston was twice the pastor of East Ridge Baptist Church for a total ministry there of 37 years until he retired in 1978. He was an active member of Ridgedale Baptist Church where he was associate teacher in the Adult One Sunday School Class.Survivors include his two sons, Charles (Sherry) Preston, of Harrison, and Tommy (Jana) Preston, of Ooltewah; one daughter, Mrs. Carol (Wayne) MacKintosh, of Dandridge, Tenn.; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one brother, John Preston, of Birmingham, Ala.; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at Ridgedale Baptist Church with Dr. Bill Owens, Rev. Larry Williams and Rev. Chris Gaither officiating.Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Adult One Sunday School Class and the Hamilton County Baptist Ministerial Association.The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. today at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 404 S.
