Roy Windsor

ROSSVILLE Roy James Windsor, 88, died on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013 at his residence.He was the son of the late Jerry and Effie Mae Hardeman Windsor. Roy was of the Baptist faith. He was a WW II veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy. Roy worked for American Lava, 3M and GE for 35 years, retiring from GE, and enjoyed gardening and going to Flea Markets. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle. Roy was preceded in death by his brother and four sisters.Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 67 years, Bertia Smith Windsor; son, Larry (Carolyn) Windsor; Sandra (Ardie) Moore, all of Rossville; grandchildren, Eric (Kim) Moore, Aimee Stone, Shawn (Tina) Moore, all of Rossville and Lori (Kevin) Purple, Ringgold; great-grandchildren, Jake, Dylan, Hailee, Nicholas, Ethan, Caroline and Kalyb; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Joel Germany officiating.
