DeWayne Edward Smith, 47, went to be with his Heavenly Father Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013.A native of Chattanooga, he was a member of Union Springs Baptist Church and had a strong Christian faith.He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Herbert and Viola Smith and Mabel Van Brunt; aunt, Alma Schmitt; and nephew, Shane Wilson.Survivors include his parents, James and Barbara Smith; sisters, Deborah (David) Hobbs and Karen (Gary) Ellis; brothers, Tim Westmoreland and Darryl Westmoreland; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace with Rev. ODell Broadway officiating.Interment will follow in Chattanooga Memorial Park.
