Terry Booker

Terry Lamar Booker, 50, a native of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, in a Fresno, Calif., hospital.He was a 1980 graduate of Brainerd High School. He received his bachelors degree from the University of Phoenix. Terry later received a masters degree in organizational leadership and was pursuing his doctorates degree. He was the District Operations Manager of Shred-It and was also on the faculty of the University of Phoenix in Fresno, Calif.He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Woods; grandparents, Robert and Nellie Booker; brothers, William Woodall and Dejuan Woods; aunt, Dorothy Booker; and cousin, Dexter Johnson.Survivors include his mother, Katherine (Melvin) Proctor; stepmother, Gloria Woods; god-son, Terrance Anthony Bryan; sisters, Kimberly Proctor, Kiste Foster, Sherry Watson, Cheryl Watson and Tammy Heard; brothers, Sean Proctor and Dion Dave; aunts, Annie Johnson, Louise (James) Hunter, Lucille (Henry) Moore, Mary Butler, Alice Anderson, Jewel Gwynn, Vivian Campbell and Irman Heard; uncle, Robert (Linda) Booker Jr.; special niece, Shaunte Hunter; special nephews, Sean Procter (Man) Jr., Aaron Proctor, Justin Proctor, Castyn Proctor, Antonio Foster, and Landas Richards; special cousins, Dawn (David) Price, Carmen (Marvin) Bruell, Donna Booker, and Darrell Johnson; a host of other relatives and friends too numerous to name.Funeral service will be Saturday at noon in the chapel with Pastor Ronald Woods as the eulogist.Burial: Forest Hills Cemetery.Visitation will be today from 6-8 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
