Isabelle Baras

Sarah Isabelle Frier Baras, of Chattanooga, died on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013. She was a longtime resident of Chattanooga. Mrs. Baras was a member of Rivermont Presbyterian Church and she volunteered at the Partnership Homemaker Program.Preceded in death by husband, Jack L. Baras; parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Ryan Frier, of Cartersville, Ga.; and her sister, Barbara Frier, of Marietta, Ga.Survived by son, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Sowell III (Allison), of Birmingham, Ala.; daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Kelly Laughlin (Mary Scott), of Atlanta; three grandsons, Benjamin Brooks Sowell, Samuel Baker Sowell and William Gabriel Sowell; nephew, Dr. and Mrs. Rick Sjoblom (Robin); two nieces, Ms. Sally Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Jason Powell (Katherine Sjoblom); aunt, Rosebud Bradford, of Cartersville, Ga.; uncle, William Bradford, of Cartersville; several cousins and great-nieces and nephews.A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Rivermont Presbyterian Church with Rev. Diane Stoker officiating. A reception will follow at the church. The time of service will be determined. Memorial contributions may be made to Rivermont Presbyterian Church, 3319 Hixson Pike, Hixson, TN 37343.
