Daisy Allen

Daisy Elna Allen, 87, of Chattanooga, passed away peacefully her sleep at home on Monday, Jan. 7, 2013.She was born April 11, 1925, in Abington, Va.Daisy was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church. She retired as an executive secretary from Moccasin Bend Mental Health Institute. Daisy volunteered in several community service events.Daisy was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Daisy Butt.Daisy is survived by her husband, Billy Allen; two sons, Dr. William (Melinda) and John (Beverly) Allen; daughter, Beth Ann Allen; three grandchildren; dog, Maxie Allen.The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel.Graveside service and Interment will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Ted Bennett officiatingPallbearers Dr. Allen, John Allen, Baker Allen Jr., Dickie Morgan, Boofer Wilkey, Thomas E.
