George Mason Adkison, 82, of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, Jan 4, 2013.Retired from Chattanooga Housing Authority and was a former employee of Walmart.He was preceded in death by parents, Mose and Annie Mae Adkison; all siblings, and grandson, George Mason Henson.He is survived by his wife, Mary Kate Dillard-Adkison; daughters, Deloria Adkison and Carolyn (Billy) Neal, of Chattanooga, Linda Darby, of Fortworth, Texas; grandchildren, Walter (Likesha) Johnson III, Misty (Rodney) Dozier, Tyler Johnson, Nylorac (Cornelius) Hemphill, Mary (Allen) Collins, Attenro Foster; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.Graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan 10, 2013, at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
